diesel (bio) is in the works (it's been done before but with smaller Kubota engines), and there have been several electric examples throughout the years. i have yet to see a hybrid, BUT if there is to be one, i immagine it will be a small diesel-electric set-up.
Trees aren't kind to me...

HHO is not an alternative fuel as you cannot shut the primary fuel off and run
on HHO without using more electricity than the engine can generate, and still power
a car. There are plenty of utubers out there asking you to buy there product
claiming miracles...but not one works as they claim.
HHO does help power and mileage a little, better than water injection with the same
benefits and drawbacks.
CNG LPG are alternative fuels that pencil.
Bio gas , wood gas makes a lot of sense if you are interested in hands on and virtually free fuel.
HHO could enhance these fuels as well if you like constant tinkering.
The electric examples so far are not using newer technologies, and in most
places the power is expensive enough to make the difference between CNG
and electricity not worth it. The power grid is not a clean source of power
here either. Denmark maybe.
I guess the answer would be yes....but nothing that the masses would welcome.
