On the aspire the airbox has a hemholtz resonator on it.
That is removeable with a couple screws.

I wonder if it would be more cost effective for us aspire owners if you could design a new
One of a different width and length that's Tuned to the air difference needed through the airbox.
From the addition of your header setup.
That way the intake power peak rpm
matches the exhaust power peak rpms.

It would require much less time and material to fabricate I believe.
Maybe when I save up some more cash ill be the first one to have one made.
It would be a nice mod to have with minimal modification to apply.

I don't know about the festy guys tho :-P

I want a carb intake. Still waiting to hear from Matt when one is done. Its been over 2 months. Was hoping to get one before winter, or it'll be next year before I can install it. I have to work outside. (I dont like working in a frozen driveway)
DrDan , recently experienced what I can olny descibe as a "learning curve" in regards to the festiva crowd.I've had to reevaluate the worth of spending valuable time & resources developing/building low or no profit products. The intake i have designed looks to work pefectly & resolve the air/fuel distribution issuse of the o.e carb intake, I just can't do it at price i believe members are willing to pay. An effort to produce it less expensivly negativly effected its funtion.Unfortunatly i've had to reconsider the worth in continuing to build any festive performance parts.

Matt, we forbid you to go on vacations, and order you to increase your workday to 15 hours. This is perfectly reasonable since we are leaving you 9 whole hours to sleep, eat, recreation, etc., which you may divide up any way you want.

You may take 1/2 day off on alternate Sundays, as long as production output does not suffer.

    Have a nice day.

Every thing I build is custom built per order and application. On custom orders I build in the order it was recieved, this is the only way to be fair to everyone. Understand the orders from here make up about a half percent of our work load, but this dose'nt mean your orders are any less important to me.I was out of the shop all last week delivering an engine to a customer in north carolina and made a stop to myrtle beach while so close. Rest assured I do as much as i can 11 hrs a day.( and as a side note, never tear down your daily driver for custom work with out making other arrangments,) Remember I can honestly say that we do work that no one in the world does and I always have work scheduled out a year ahead, as of two weeks ago we have 128 different projects going on from all over the world, plus 2 projects for PRI & SEMA shows.Getting your order filled and impressing you with our workmanship is of top priority it just requires uderstanding that these thing can't be done overnight. Thanks Matt.

He doesn't have anything made up, you just get in line and wait.

    He's just very busy.

When I called him recently he was just swamped with orders.
    Not much time to talk.

Plus the first come first serve thing is only fair.

You know you won't get put on hold for a project that came after you.

But also you have to wait for your turn.

I haven't really had any shops I could trust.
    Dickmeyers shop is the first
And I'm gonna stick with him
For the rest of my modifying needs.
He offers high quality work for fair prices.

    he's worth the wait.

Patience is a virtue right :-)

I sent Matt a B6 Head, intake with injectors, and B3 roller cam, to be welded up and reground, prior to May.( I also purchased and have received a FPR which I have installed on the B6 in the Smurf car.) I have seen some of my stuff on the Dickmeyer website, as having been worked on, to include the header, but I have not received any of that as of yet; so I can not report on performance results. I jumped on the project after looking at he stuff he was doing for Jeramie's B3.

I have paid the bulk of the bill. I am waiting for a final total so I can "square up with Matt" and hopefully get all of the parts that I have in the works installed so that I can make a report. I am going to have the current B6 (with Tracer 5 speed) put on a dyno before and after I install all of the parts. I will file a report as to the results at that time.

He says he fills orders on a first come, first served basis and he has a backlog of orders from all over the world. I sent him three cams so he'd have plenty. The last ship date of two weeks is over Wednesday, that'll be three months exactly. I'll let you know.
