  • Honda civic exhaust?

I was looking at a honda civic exhaust/header system, and it seems to look like the holes would line up, and the piping runs the same way also. just curious if anyone has tried it, and if it did work or not. If it did, that would be great becuase honda parts are everywhere

If it CAN be tried, it HAS been tried on a Festiva. I'm not going to say NO, because I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure there would be more word of it around here if it was that easy.

If you look at pictures of gaskets, you will be decieved. Lots of DOHC exhaust port's look exactly the same size and such.

You might be able to buy a civic exhaust, chop it up, lengthen it, shorten it, add a bend or two and make it fit into a festiva but it wont fit perfect, or even close.

Im not saying the full exhaust system, just the actual headers themselves. They look like they would fit but i am not sure. thanks anyway

The only way you could get them to fit is cutting, new flange, welding, and alot of work. Could be worth it at the end though.

please note: the honda headers you see are for 16v heads. Festys have 8v heads and the ports are offset (not evenly spaced). Even if you had a B6-ME or B6D head (both 16v heads), you'd still need to weld a head specific flange to the honda header and even then, the spacing may not be close enough to work without stressing the tubes.
