The springs will happen for sure. I'm 99% sure that I actually have a coil bind problem with the stock springs and FMS cam. Not sure what the lift is on your cam, but mine is .450". It looks to me like the coils may be binding somewhere around .400" and the HLAs are compressing for the last .050" or so. I'm not 100% sure, but instead of making a manual adjustable rocker to confirm it, and/or worrying about it, I figure I should just buy a set of springs and be safe. Even if they're not binding, they are REALLY close to it. The better valve control from stronger springs won't hurt either. Plus, if/when I have him grind me a cam (after he does some flow testing on a B6 head), I'll already have the springs in place to handle it. I kinda want to run the FMS cam for a while to get an idea of a comparison.Brian

Matt, soon I will order some parts from you, and some work:
the FPR
B3 exhaust header
clean/balance Aspire B3 injectors
Eventually I will send you an Aspire head/intake to work on. BTW this motor will stay NA. My question: If you build me a better head, will the stock injectors flow enough fuel for that head, or should I start looking for bigger injectors?
Also, what is the difference (if any) between Festiva and Aspire injectors, since they are different colors?Last edited by TominMO; 05-09-2013, 08:43 AM.90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods

Pretty.
Wish I hadn't bought the Chinese FPR when I did. Oh well. Might still pick one of those up and save the China unit for my Escort.Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.
