  • RC Injectors question

    Hello and Good Day everyone,

    Just a quick noob question:

I run RC 650's on my red turbo miata but they came with the car, i believe they were SL9-650 is the code thats on them.

I found a deal on used RC 650's from a honda guy, who said he had them in his honda and he wants something super cheap for them..

My question is, if they are SL9-650 should they be internally and externally the same resistance as my miata ones? Same resistance and stuff? I cant find the information i need anywhere.

    Thanks

physically they should fit, but you need to figure out what impedance to run, either high or low. If you have a standalone computer you can run both. if there low and you want run them with a stock computer you will need to use a resistor box. im sure RC injectors web site will tell you the impedance

are you sure the model number isnt SL4-0650?
if its SL4 they are high imp and should be find with stock ecu

well the guy im buying them from says they are sl9-650's I plan on running a megasquirt ECU, not going to run a stock computer.

I just want to make sure i can use them, without much trouble

You'll want high impedance injectors. Faster injector.

so what im getting from this, If the RC injector is an SL9-650 injector, then it should fit a miata and should be saturated correct?

OK update, i got some 550cc high ohm, saturated injectors

They are PNP with a miata.

Im surprised that the stock festiva is Low Ohm, i would of thought the injectors from a miata/festiva would be the same... hmn Regardless im running megasquirt so i should be ok

I'm running 2014 Mustang Boss 302 injectors. Whatever works! LOL!

Actually the opposite is true. High impedance (12-18 ohm) injectors require higher current signal from driver, which slows response time.
