Speaking of G series ratios... What about say 2nd and 3rd gear rations across the "Protege, 323, Mazda 3, MX-3, 626, Mazda 6, MX-6 and others" family? Are they the same? Meaning - is there a chance to make a 1.8+ E-GT combo sportier?
