can I adjust the clutch

Testing the tranny in the pimptiva yesturday, and I only have to raise my foot of the clutch maybe 1/8th inch maybe even less before it fully engages. Is there anyway I can adjust it to give me like a inch on slid, or is it because its brand new, and I shouldn't worry because it will be wore out in a year.

Yeah, right there on the tranny there is an adjuster you can toy with to adjust the clutch, its pretty easy to get to. It will allow you to adjust it to a better feel when depressing the clutch.

Just make sure there is a little play in the pedal and that your not starting to engage the clutch when the pedal is all the way up. All 4 of my festiva's have a different feel to them. My 89 has a newer clutch and grabs close off the floor. The BP car has a new clutch but grabs a bit higher off the floor.
