  • Deal or no deal?

Hey i think i'm getting a deal but i need some information.

A person wants to sell me a B6 Tranny (not sure which series yet, but he says its the one that comes with the B6 engine), the problem is the Bell Housing at the gear selector is damage (broke off), he is saying that my five speed B3 Bell housing can fit unto it.

    Is this true?

Also he would be selling it for US$ 200.00, considering the damage would you take it.

No. A little patience and searching, you'll find what you need. I'd wager for less too

Thanks for your quick response crazyrog17. No meaning it will not fit? I also think the price is too high but wasn't sure

Not sure about where you are, but in the U.S. a B3 engine only came with an E series trans. A B6 used an F series trans. The cases are different.

In my area, $200.00 for a damaged transmission is too much.

Too much money for a transmission that won't fit directly.
