That's the reason I put in the Mods forum. Figured someone could use the engine for a swap. He has a turbo also and bought the other one just to get the hat top to go on it. But the body and interior are in nice shape too.

Could this engine be attached to an 89 festiva automatic easily? And would the trans hold up?

the trans will hold, but you'll loose a gear in doing so. if you're going to swap, swap the ENTIRE powertrain. (then add Mr Dickmeyers turbo header...)

That's what's wrong with the Capri. Bad trans. A shame too that Capri is nice looking..

An aside: The manifold was cracked on his turbo. Is that a common problem?

yes, it's all too common. Matt's unit fixes that issue by allowing more expantion/flex and improves on flow.
