You might be alright with a 50' roll, but I'd advise wearing gloves when installing that crap, unless you want itchy hands for a few days afterwards lol

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Hahaha stuffs a killer hard to wrap a bp or b6t ! There are no openings to hold or tuck through ! Very hard to get it to look decent !
New build on the way .

make sure you spray it with some flameproof paint before hand.
that way your pipes dont rust inside the wrap.
the heat, inadvertently, causes oxidation of some sort inside the wrap if the pipes aren't prepared properly before hand.
          id use this. http://www.vhtpaint.com/products/flameproof/
          and this wrap.. http://www.jegs.com/i/DEI/186/010128...Fcmf4AodRlcACg

its what I've had underneath the motor, from the headers down (under the sensor), for the past 3 years. it starts to become brittle and creates some dust when you fool with it. so never wash it with high pressure water or anything thats gonna forcibly agitate the wrap itself.

if i'm not mistaken theres a silicone spray out there you can put over it when you're done that will prevent the aforementioned dusting, and make it last longer..

and with anything, off the car is the best way to install. if you have to wrap it in pieces, thats fine. just make sure you double wrap from where you left off, and get some exhaust clamps instead of those cheap sheet metal ties they give you with the kit. if done properly you'll notice a decent difference from bare pipes, and then you'll benefit from running an open cone on the inside of the bay, where an unwrapped pipe is generating more heat inside the bay.
