swap to r134

so I don't know if this has been posted, couldn't find anything on it exactly, but if it has if someone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome...


Anyway... just realized that it's not r134 it's r12.... obviously no one has it, and if they do they want a ridiculous amount of money for it.... SO.... my question is does someone has a write up on switching it? Or is there an 'easy' way to do this? Or do I just need to take it to an A/C shop and have them evacuate the system and then just buy one of those like $50 'conversion kits'?

Thanks in advance... it's getting hot as hell and my wife drives this car now, since she decided I needed a new project...

if the system isn't cold, that means there's a leak and that needs to be fixed first! before the conversion.
