  • weber carb vs escort carb

I am getting rid of the craptastic stock carb.read a lot about this already.but nuthin on which is better/cheaper.
iv'e found a used weber kit for a samurai for $80 and a reman escort is 60 so which one will be best.which will give better mpg.which will be best in winter.

Good question. One good thing about the Weber is that different jets are readily available making tuning easier. May be the same for the Escort carb, I'm just not familiar with them.

Not Webers, but I have 2 of the old originals. They both ran OK when I took them off. You'll like a Weber a lot more though.

I make an adapter for the 32/36 - shouldn't be an issue to drill it to accept an escort carb I suppose all I'd need is a gasket to work with. Would take the guesswork out: http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...l=1#post601598

Well i scored the weber/ samurai kit for 80 it is a water choke.
Do the water chokes work as good as electric ones or?
