A couple months ago, a friend of mine here in town sends me a text "I just saw the darndest thing, a Festiva pulling a Festiva," Twas me, and he knew it. It always gets a lot of looks. If there is a line at the scrap metal yard, I get a LOT of people getting out of their trucks and checking me out.

I like this. Somebody doing something out of the ordinary with a Festy, once again. Most folks have assumed these econo cars to have died years ago and then to see one go by with a trailer hitch installed, plus a load, has gotta be an eye-catcher.
Drivers like me immediately spot the Aspire/Rio swap on this rig, and give thumbs up to the stick shift. Hood wasn't open but it would be no surprise to see the words Mazda or Ford on the valve cover in there as well.

Mine was bone stock (1.3 5 speed) but with brand new Goodyear snows on it a few years ago managed to lynch (with polypropylene tow rope) a full size pickup out of the snow bank. That too drew a few stares.

Mine says Mazda now, but the B3 pulled like a champ as well!

Id imagine there were a few lookers over that and the person with the pick prolly hesitant on even trying to pull it with a festy
