  • festiva vs geo

I believe that the 3rd gen geo metro ran a 1.3L, does anyone know if it is the same B3 in the Festiva ?

  • #2
IIRC (someone correct me if I'm wrong here) but the B3 is Mazda, and the Geo was Suzuki made for Chevrolet and badged as a Geo.

Different engine completely. B3 is Mazda and the Geo is a Zuke. Along with all of my Festies I have a 97 Geo that needs a new 1.3

Mark, I think a gsx1300r engine is a direct replacement. It's the logical choice.

Hahaha! I completely agree!! Problem is I would then want to keep it and I only bought the car so I could flip it LOL

Than I'd have to join the Geo forum with a username like Gixxergeo...etc, etc, etc. You can see how it would quickly snowball

Check this Metro out. They are way superior to Festivas in every way:
90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods
09 Kia Rondo--a Festy on steroids!

Hey, don't go ragging on the price. It comes with a windshield and four (4) tires after all. And low mileage.

You can easily see what happens when you forget to put in the last two decimal places in a car ad.
