  • relocating reciever dryer.

I need to reroute my low pressure air con line and my reciever dryer. Is there a way to get the fittings to reattach it somewhere else along the high pressure line, like were the air box is. Has this been done before. I searched but didnt find what iwas looking for

just make sure you keep it in line BEFORE the condensor. best way to do this is go to an AC shop and have the system custom built, it may cost a bit, but it;s the simplest solution.

Yeah, unless you're a certified A/C tech doing backyard A/C work (beyond a simple recharge on a known good system) is a really bad idea.
I don't know about the US EPA but Environment Canada has some ridiculously stiff fines (well into 5 figures IIRC) for letting 134a out into the atmosphere, and double them for R12.

If it's already empty, cut and braze what you need with copper tubing. Install new driers, have it sucked to a few hundred microns, and shoot it with a charge. You can pressure test with nitrogen before getting it vacuumed, so you can test your work before dragging it to the shop if you don't have a pump or gauges.

I'm 608 certified universal, type I, ii, iii and core. Test is a joke. Dates and chemical structures. Nothing really of field work or equipment usage.

        609 probably isn't much different.

And yeah, it'd $10k for every instance of venting here in states.

Regardless, shouldn't vent!, ermmm, don't vent!
