  • BP swap no spark no fuel

    I'm trying to fire up my BP swap and I'm not recieving constant power to the distributor, coil has power, ingnighter flashes so it's getting power and sending it out. Fuel pump relay clicks but no fuel.

    There's a ground right by the dizzy plug. Make sure it is a good connection.

    Is the fuel rail pressurized?

      Its grounded to the trans, and we took off the fuel filter and it wasn't getting anything.

        Check the vaf. It controls the fuel pump. If it's at a funny angle it can affect it.

        One way to test...

        Leave vaf loose, but plugged in. Turn key on. Listen for fuel pump. Stuck your hand or a screwdriver in the bad, just to touch and move the trap door. Listen while you do this. Is the pump kicking off and on?

        Almost need more details. Yr car?, yr motor? Harness?

          The pump is dead. Were now getting constant power to the dizzy plug but no spark so I'm thinking the dizzy is bad. Its a junkyard motor so its possible

            Did you run the 4th wire to the distributor, as stated in Mattswabs write up?

                Pump relay clicks when you open the vaf, walbro is and and still no fuel.

                  The reverse lights are on with the key in the on position with the car in neutral. Could I have hooked up a wrong connection somewhere?

                    The clear connector is live, do any of these need to connect to something. I don't see anywhere they would unless I'm missing a relay or something. The car is a 92 the BP is from a 94.

                      Nope those are test plugs. There's a fuel pump relay, iirc it's behind driver headlight

                        I though the fp relay was the black and yellow one that's under the dash screwed to the kick panel. It was clicking whenever I oppened the door to the maf.

                          The coil was bad and now the pump is kicking on but it wont start.

                            Distributor rotor can go on 1 of three ways. Make sure it's right
