  • Turbo factory 1.3??

Hi guys! Just curious if it's worth to just turbo the factory 1.3 not looking for to much power, just make it a little more fun. My motor has 198k on it but runs absolutey amazing. Any opinions on doing it?

Yes, you must do it. Talk to Greg/eurotiva. He's had almost every possible B-series motor in his car, all turboed.

If you want just a "little more power" do a b6 swap. Will always be more reliable. And easier.

boost the B3! I have had one and building another.

Of course a b6 swap is easy and dependable but a boosted b3 is way more fun

Since when was pulling a whole engine easier then just putting a turbo at the end of your exhaust and running a intake pipe and some oil lines. Go turbo or go home. Just my .02

I'd turbo the B3 if the compression is half decent and it's not leaking/burning/smoking.

            EDIT: Some useful reading material:

Discuss making performance enhancements to the OEM-spec engine in your Festiva or Aspire.

Sorry for the wait guys! But is there any difference between the Aspire and the festiva motor? I have a good chace to get an Aspire motor for cheap and was just going to just build that with the turbo on it and just just throw that in when the festiva motor goes bad!. Anything I should worry about with doing that or is that a good idea.? And yea Yea i know since the motor is going out I should just put a bigger motor in but I just want to turbo the Aspire motor!. Any advice would be nice thanks!

Aspire heads have roller rockers. Our some nonsense item like that that the festiva head doesn't. It might flow a touch better. But that's all I know. Both engines have almost the same rated hp.

I run aspire motors. But I also drive an aspire.

Okay cool. But everything will bolt up from the Aspire to my festiva right? Once the turbo stuff is all mocked up everything should bolt right in right?

Yeah. It should be plug and play. I'm assuming the fuel injection system is similar. But if it's not you'll just have to use your motor side harness on the aspire engine.

Get me motivated for a turbo b3. I have a 9b with my name on it. But I plan on doing some fuel control. I don't like the idea of no fuel management. Running even a little lean can let your miss out on some ponies. And some engine longevity

Yea my buddy is a great fabricator so I'm gonna hand off the Aspire manifold to him do he can put a flange on it. He's also able to do all the intercooler piping and all other piping. And as fuel goes I am thing an fmu. I'm also ahead of the game for the turbo cause I already put an aem wideband afr Guage in my car lol I figured it's gonna be plenty fun with just a turbo b3. And cheap to lol pretty much need piping... A turbo (probally gonna use a garret t25} already have a fmic I had sitting around and I'll just drop the oil pan off the Aspire motor and run a feel line from it. Gonna be a long process though cause I want to do ALOT of cleaning of stuff lol. But ill keep you guys updated once I start making some progress if you want!
