Tranny help!!!

heys guys, i was wondering i've put an escort gt engine 1.8L into my festy using the stock 5 speed festiva tranny. do you guys think the tranny will hold up to the motor and also what tranny would be best to mate to the escort engine. how easy is it to install and what has to be done to make it work?? thanks.
