We want some more snap at 2500-5000 RPMs so the quick response is turbo. Just like others, this is for the endurance racing of Lemons (cheap). We have a great block with ready for turbo pistons. I just don't want to race hard for a couple hours and then be spectators. Is a small boost, say 6-8 pounds, going to kill my forged internals motor? Is it even worth the effort for the 6-8 pounds?

Racing lemons, i woukd personally stay non turbo. If your looking for longevity, and durability.
A good person to ask advice from would be Charlie, advancedynamics. He beats his turbo at tracks, so he'd know-Greg
