    does anyone out there have information on bore and stroke size in a 1.3 and a 1.8 thank you.

    Wikipedia does. Search Mazda B engine in google.

      Darn, I thought this was going to be a thread on a Mazda Protege 1.8 to 1.3 Festiva engine.

      So under-powered, but still so awesome.
      White '92 GL 5-speed BP, G series, Aspire/Rio swapped, "Nancy"
      White '89 LX 5-speed, Aspire swapped, Weber carb
      1988 LX 5-speed

        That's the modern way. They'd stick a 1.3 turbo in it and call it an innovation.

          Yes but nowadays they run direct injection and 10:1 or higher compression instead of ~8:1...

              No, the 1.8 is physically larger, it has different bore spacing.
