  • Swap Festiva ATX in an Aspire

Has anyone ever done this before or am I going to be a pioneer on this? Looking for ideas as to what to expect.

I'm keeping the old aspire atx, threw the diff pin through the case. It is a 97 so it has a centripitual lock up torque converter, not going back in the car it's just getting the stock festiva torque converter. I'll keep the tq converter for a spare or sell it if anyone is interested and scrap the tranny.

I'm hoping it will be a matter of putting the aspire mounting brackets on the festiva case and sticking it back in, anything else I need to consider?

Yes ran the Festy tranny's for over 60k. Just put in a Spire tranny in my Aspire for the very first time. Wish I never would have ran the Festy trans all these miles. Yes you'll get better MPG,but MAINLY in summer. And with stiff head winds on big hills its really annoying, the F/D kills what little power the B3 makes. I'd much rather use a little more gas and have the better pull. Especially looking forward to putting my 14's back on for summer.
