  • custom aftermarket engine mounts

Does anyone know of any company that will copy a set of my engine mounts and remake them aftermarket style. So I don't end up with janky looking angle iron mounts. I am sure it would cost but might be worth it to me. Lol

I hope I didn't offend anyone by saying janky angle iron mounts. I mean that I want mine to look like they were aftermarket and not made by me. Angle works but just want to clean it up after I make them. That simple. I would like to see some more pics of some nice looking ones for sure. Of all the guys here making their own mounts there are only a few showing them off.

No I haven't done them before. I've done alternator brackets and other assorted pieces in the past though

This is a replacement shifter bracket for a giant gradall machine

These are BF strut bar brackets

I like the way those look dude. So I would give you my mounts and you will make a mold then cast 'em? Do I send it in the exact shape or similar to what I want? Or do you decide where to strengthen? I guess I want them to look oem without all the welds but wanna make sure they are strong too. Aluminum cast then machined would be nice for the aftermarket look. Whattya' think? Or is iron the way to go?

Any headway on the Festiva strut mounts?

My drums should be in this coming week. I think the local vocational school is going to do them (actually the instructor for demonstration purposes) but if not I will send them with the harmonic balancer (already have).

You can send me your mounts, or some ridiculously detailed & accurate measurements. They're going to have to get re-engineered so I can make a wooden pattern to cast with. I'll decide where to strengthen them.

They could be as-cast, semi-machined (fully machined would be too much work, and silly with a casting like this) or you could beadblast or even powdercoat them

Aluminum will be fine, I'm not casting any iron yet. Wanna do a SteamPunk car? we can do brass, lol

No headway on Festy strut bars - haven't been able to meet up with Arty at all. Just need someone to drop by for a long afternoon so I can do some measuring & prototyping

Fine with the rotors just keep me updated!

Sweet. The mounts will be sometime this summer. Just planning ahead so I don't waste any time on my build.
