OK all in Festy land it seems this question has never been answered before and i was wanting to know the same thing. I have searched the site for two days straight now and cant seem to find a direct answer, so if anyone knows at least a year range of Escort it would be most helpful. I would like to do this swap myself since my OEM carb just doesn't seem to like the cold weather. I have an 88 b3 stock runs great but it just bogs down terribly on take off an stumbles when i give it gas as i am cruising at highway speeds. I would like to go to a local pic and pull and find what i need. So if anyone can help it would be grateful!

I think they are from mid to late 80's Escorts. Any Pre-EFI.

Early to mid escorts. Late 80's were TBI and EFI.

          '81 through '86. Pretty reasonable on Ebay. Mine's an '86 NOS. $125.00.

I hate to hijack this post, but is the Escort Carb superior to the Weber Carb? And if so, why?? I am about to the same thing with my 1988 Festiva.

Escort is a weber...uses same jets and is basically close to same

Imo some peeps have issues with the weber as they just don't know what their doing. It is getting to be a lost art to tune a carb
Some peeps had vacuum leaks on homemade adaptors, even though they said they didnt didn't have leaks
I saw some real BAD designs
