  • ITB's

OK, so i have a toyota levin, with a crunchy second, which was ok, untill i was in town the other day, and gave her a good rev up launched, and it started pouring oil everywere, (toyotas for ya)

So im back to driving the very sad and extremily missed festiva
    Festiva Very sad.jpg

Which made me miss one thing about my levin, the ITB's.. I have spent the last hour searching the net, and discovered that there is kits for a b6 and bp engine to use the ITB's from the levin but nothing for the B3. Assuming i get an adapter custom made, what else would i need to do to make ITB's work apart from the modification of the accelerator cable..

    What's an ITB?
    International trade barrier?
    I'm the bravest?
    Individual throttle bodies?

B6s and B3s are identical. So it should work.
Please post the link to the kit.
Someone here may want to buy one.

Is the site called garagestar.com in Sacramento?
If so, those guys are animals. They CNC machine from solid billet.

    Too late for me.
I already have twin carbies from a KB Laser on my B6.

Good thing it's just ITBs and not ITBS!

Bravekozak - There are ones for the B6 DOHC, but none for the SOHC that I am aware of. The head flanges and port space/size/shape are completely different

SrrTalkalot if you're serious give me a PM, I have made ITB manifolds for the B6D, in-progress on the BP, and could probably work something out for the SOHC. Would you prefer bike throttles or the more expensive 4AGE throttles?

not to take away from rocketman who will probably have the lowest price but if you want to get a good overview look up Jenvey in the UK. they have kits for the maz DOHCs NA and Turbod. the few emails i've sent them were answered qwikly and thoroughly.

How close are you to completion on the BP ITB manifolds?

very close, I need to make a new jig to locate & drill the mounting holes in the head flange. My first jig was off, it was due to a scaling issue with one of my blueprints.

Guys, I don't know why anyone would possibly attempt an ITB install on a transversly mounted engine. The air horns would brush against the firewall. ITBs are great for longitududinally mounted engines.
Did I mention, my extra set of twin carbs are still available?
After I post a video of them purring/growling together, the price is going to go up. Then I am going to post them on eBay along with rhe YouTube links to see what their true value is.

Look how deep the engine bay is!
Now that's what I call a cross brace!
Festivas do not have very much room between the block and the firewall.

I think a nice cnc machined intake manifold would make you smile. Check out the one linked to my profile. I'm building that right now.
