So, any one here keeping a close eye on electric vehicle used parts? Some interesting options and decent pricing starting to appear in the market. Used battery packs are fairly cheap now. You still need to take the time to load test and separate the weak ones, but can offer a much cheaper source compared to new. With Tesla opening up patents, battery tech will continue to improve in both price and performance.
My long term goal is an electric hybrid optimized for the quarter mile. A nice steady push from the rear while your shifting through gears on the front.
