  • Will it fit? 1989 Fi --->2001 Kia Sephia

I have a 1989 Fi auto. Found a great deal on a 2001 Kia Sephia motor. Will it work easily in the Festiva?
    Thanks!

Anyone know if this year will work? I can get one with 67,000 miles for $75.

No one has ever done it before. Its not a mazda design so it will most likely need alot of custom fabrication to fit.

Depending on what engine it has 1.5 1.6 1.8 they were Mazda based. The 1.6 was a b6d not sure if the 1.8 was a BP or not but I was thinking it was. I ordered gaskets for a 1.6 sephia from eBay when rebuilding my Capri b6d all gaskets work ed besides the intake gasket and valve cover gasket.

can't positively answer your question but after little searching online, i come away with: 93-94 - a real mazda 1.8 DOHC available. 94-96 - same 1.8L licensed from mazda but manufactured by kia. after 1997 - kia designed 1.8 DOHC. most likely very little or no interchange with the mazda 1.8.

I was looking into this. I figured on using this wiring harness from the kia.

Thanks. It's a 1.8. Ima pass since it would take a lot to make it work then. Thanks again
