Disassemble tranny, separate ring gear from the diff, use the supplied mfactory bolts to secure ring gear to the mfactory diff, install speedo gear, press on diff bearings, re-assemble tranny

I've done this process every time I've changed tranny's in my festiva

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Yeah I saw a wrote up about it, but as someone whose not versed in transmissions I'm not too trusting of myself, hell I had a he'll of a time just getting the bp swap done over 6 months and still had to give into a shop... I was mainly curious if someone had suggestions on what kind of shop to ask, a performance shop, dealership, or elsewhere

How do I separate the ring gear from the diff? do I use an airhammer on the rivets?

Also posted on Facebook. I have a slight gap in the bolts for the LSD. Anyone else have this?
