    My rubber seal on the bottom was pretty dry. Are those available new?

              The ball is about 1 1/4" wide. I'll be hacking mine today, but I plan to add at least 1" on the bottom, take 3/4" off the top, and move the whole shifter up about 1/2" or so. Should be nice.

                  Here's mine. I didn't exactly follow the howto. I didn't weld anything on top, and the bottom is all new, but I like it. Oh, and I didn't end up raising the whole thing.

                    I actually kind of like the height of the stock shifter. The shift throw is a bit long though.

                      Yeah, I just lengthened the bottom part of mine about a half inch and left the top alone. I like the shifter to be as close to the steering wheel as possible.
