My rubber seal on the bottom was pretty dry. Are those available new?

Stock Festiva "Short Shifter" How-To

The ball is about 1 1/4" wide. I'll be hacking mine today, but I plan to add at least 1" on the bottom, take 3/4" off the top, and move the whole shifter up about 1/2" or so. Should be nice.

Here's mine. I didn't exactly follow the howto. I didn't weld anything on top, and the bottom is all new, but I like it. Oh, and I didn't end up raising the whole thing.

Yeah, I just lengthened the bottom part of mine about a half inch and left the top alone. I like the shifter to be as close to the steering wheel as possible.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.
