  • Anyone have vacumm gauge readings while cruising at 65+ mph

Looking to see what kind of vacumm people are pulling at 65+ MPH.

I'm considering getting one to see if my car is more efficient then it used to be on the highway with all the aeromods. If the vacumm is way up, I want to switch to taller tires for less engine RPM which should save more fuel.

Since I run permanent vacuum gauges on both of my bone stock 93's, here are the readings:

    65 MPH,
    10-12" Vac,
    2700 RPM.

This is on a level highway and can vary some with wind, weather and slope or grade.

What altitude are you running at ? With all 4 on the ground lol.

Thanks Dale. That sounds like what I have been told. Looking to see if all my aerodynamic mods means I am running a lot more vacumm or not. Should be interesting.

600 ft on average. With a B3.....all 4 are always on the ground.

Yeah between 60 and 65mph I'd pull in the 10in range. Up closer to 70ish though and you really start to suffer.
