Yes, the B6 is the superior swap, a little less torque than the BP, but way easier etc.
We don't even maintenance the 2.3, just plug in a 2.5 from a 2010 Fusion, low miles costs apx. $1200.

Would be a Focus/Escape/etc 2.3 DOHC. I would personally never do one of those after replacing valves on one. The timing tensioner design is stupid, the timing setup (both cam and crank) is stupid, and they used torx head bolts which is, well, stupid.Last edited by sketchman; 09-16-2015, 02:49 PM.
