I'm starting to look at materials now. What type of metal would be best? Should I use stainless or experiment with other exotic materials? And what thickness? I would like it to be light, but resistant to the heat and any stresses (EDIT: The car will be used for rally racing). Also would like to wrap them and/or possibly make a heat shield. This IS my first time but I want to put in the effort to craft this as well as I possibly can. Thanks so much, guys!

If it's track only, get another hood, cut a hole and do zoomies out the hood.

Now that would look interesting coming down the road, 4 chrome stacks sticking out the front of the hood. Heck lets put rain caps on it while we are at it.

^Haha. I have a built 1.9 CVH for my Escort wagon with those on it. If I ever get to install it first start will be LOUD and PROUD.
Any difference that makes no difference is no difference.

There is almost a 7" offset between the header and the center of the car where the main exhaust tube runs. Has anyone tried installing a Focus ZX5 resonator (Walker 53372)? Or, a Mercedes 190E resonator (Walker 44873)?

I like your sig! I'd only make one change:
"A mechanic knows how, A technician knows why - an Engineer confuses everything"

What does the technical inspect for your racing class say? Do you have to have a muffler or a resonator?
Most people don't drive what they want at all, and never will

Lol thanks. I don't know yet. I'm new to racing. I still need to investigate sanctioning bodies and sub-classes and such. Any suggestions on where to start?
