  • Questions on Transmissions

What are the differences between all the transmissions I see you guys swapping into your Festys? What are all the ratios, diff compatibilities, fitment issues, adapter plates, fluid types, what's better for what application, etc...? Thanks guys

No adaptor plates, only custom motor mounts. The best option possible is the g from the 323, Capri xr2, escort gt or protege dx? Had one, so does the Kia Rio. Find a g. Get me one also

Normal 323 had F-series, 323 GT had G-series. Protege DX had F-series, protege LX had G-series.

How do you tell what transmission you're looking at? If I see a transmission in a JY, how do I know if it's an F or a G?

Snap a pic and submit it for processing. I'm sure if you get the make/model and yr we could figure it out.

                1.6 and smaller = f series
                turbo 1.6 and larger = g series
