  • aliminum radiator?

Ive looked through the forum, and cant seem to find much on the subject. do any of the after market companies make a festiva radiator? fluidyne, koyo ect. between daily driving in 100 plus temps, and auto crossing, i dont think mine is up to par.
I have owned 15 nissan/datsun's and 1 ford. What the hell is the matter with me?

The factory radiator in my car was aluminum. Get one from an auto tranny it is a 2 core. Or get a aftermarket Honda civic one for early 90's cars.

f you can't find what you want ,you can go to a reputable radiator shop and have a custom rad built that will be same diameter.
I had a custom 4 core built for my S-10 cheaper than aftermarket .
      Just a thought .

What are you running that is causing this to overheat? My BP festiva with the stock single core festiva radiator can barely ever get the fan to cycle even on the hottest of days 95°+. If your engine is stock then you need to look into other reasons why the car is heating up. Thermostat, clogged radiator, bad lower hose, water pump......

I'm in utah, and drive to denver(mile high city) fairly often. could the altitude play a role in how hot my engine gets? does the rad from an auto bolt in, or do i need to modify anyhting?

manual trans is a single core and the auto is a 2 core, so more fluid, more cooling surface. Reuse all your stock mounts and hoses.

I'd try this route 1st before going with a custom radiator.

try flushing your stock radiator first most festi ive seen have over 100k on them and no one flushes them and the coolant just breaks down give it a good flush and use the prestone radiator flush.
