    Are the BP and DOHC B6 upper timing covers the same?

    No, the BP cover (EGT, Tracer LTS and Protege LX only) doesn't have the cut out to go around the Capri/BF 323 engine mount bracket.
    Otherwise, they interchange and the BP cover looks nicer when you are using a Festiva style engine mount bracket.

      Here is an EGT cover bolted to a Capri backing plate on a miata head in my festiva. Say that ten times fast! Lol

        Thanks Charlie. There's an Escort GT at one of the local PnP yards... I think I'll go and get it seeing as I have a similar mount in my car.
