The Rio clutch is similar to the 1.6 Miata clutch, but I haven't tried making a hybrid clutch. The Miata has more performance options than the Rio, so this may be worth looking into. The Rio flywheel is toothed for a 60-2 crank sensor, which is my reason for buying one, so I plan on using the Rio flywheel.
When using a 2001-2005 Rio transmission, you don't need a g series trans to make any sort of hybrid. This tranny already has the same diff spline count as the Capri g series trans. It's a strengthened F series trans, with a cable clutch. The gearing is good for sport driving, but expect a hit in highway fuel mileage when compared to the E series 5 speed or the G series with the tall 5th swap.
