  • Pistonssssssss!!!!!!

We have talked here about many of the modifications that can be wid our small festivas to boost them. From b6 heap swaps to complete BP swaps, from turbo to air intakes and exhausts, we have discussed them all. What I would like to know is that anyone tried to swap some bigger pistons in his b3 or b6 block? and how much long bore pistons are possible in this? PLease do share your experiences guys specially the mods here like mattswab etc

i wouldn't go max over 40 thousands for overbore.....just use low comp pistons and boost the pissss out of it

Or you could go higher comp and lower boost. You have more power before boost but cant run as much boost. Recommend a knock light for this.

b3 and b6 block is same size. b3 has smaller bore.

but using a b3 makes no sense when you can get b6 cheap.

The b6 is not available here at my place Man. You see in my country, the mazda 323 with b6 never came, so its not at all available here. Mazda 323 came here with only E3 and E5 blocks.
Also importing here is not a gud option since I will pay to have around 300% of its value jst for taxes ops:
So all I am stuck here is with a b3 block, and I can do things wit it only.
But are you exactly sure that b6 pitons can be fitted into b3 block by boring it??? and it wont hit the oil galleries or create heating problems?

I honestly cannot answer that one , I have alot of answers , but not the piston compatability. I have never got involved in that on these engines .
There are pleanty of people here that should be able to answer that .
                      Sorry

They are not all just waiting around just to answer questions. Your question is way to broad for any one answer. Are you going turbo? Only a few have ever swapped pistons in a b3. Not worth it in the US, we just put in a bigger engine.

Hey Mattswab, itna ghusa acha nahi hota dude, isliay thanday hojao

Hey superduder, I know swapping the engines is a really kool idea but not at all feasible for me. Since there are no engines available except for b1 and b3 and I can't import it from outside my country. So I have no choice but to go for the custom piston you just mentioned about.
Can you give me more info about the custom pistons that you mentioned? Thanx
