That is just his personality. He is great to talk to on the phone from what I have heard. He also is quick to ship if you buy something on ebay.

I vouch for that too I have bought over 500 in parts...great salesman

I'll be getting the lightweight flywheel this next paycheck

I wonder how much torque I am going to lose, but on the other hand kind of excited to see how much horsepower I'll gain, and how fast the revs will be 5 pounds off in rotating mass is a very big deal..IMO

not necessarily i meant our cars have about 10 torque over hp, i doubt that i will lose that much, keep the hp/torque numbers the same you should be alright anyways. Outcome of the flywheel i think realistically lose of 3-4 torque gain in that much in HP, plus faster revs

You don't lose any torque with a lighter flywheel.

A heavier flywheel makes it easier to get the car going from a stop.
The inertia of the flywheel aids in getting the car going. The heavier the flywheel the easier it is to get the car rolling from a stop.
But the extra inertia makes it harder for the engine to rev up.

A lighter flywheel make it easier for the engine to rev up but harder to get rolling from a stop. Road racers usually have very light flywheels because it allows the engine to rev up and down quicker but then again the don't stop very often.

Bottom line misinformation kills. You do NOT lose torque. A LWFW only "frees" up HP if anything and like 5.0Zone said, helps the engine rev quicker but also like he said makes it a little more difficult from a standstill when engaging the clutch. Not a big deal in our cars due to the lack of weight to begin with. If we were talking a Grand National or anything 3000+ lbs I would worry but for us, the only thing I would worry about is WHERE FMS took the weight off. I know they did not redesign our flywheel so it is critical as to where they started taking material off of it. Until I personally know of someone who has had theirs hold up to 10K or more miles I will not be purchasing one. I abuse my clutch/flywheel constantly and I need to be sure it will not crack or warp due to the added abuse. For now my 16lb flywheel will work w/my 83hp just fine. Just my $.02... -Kyle
