so basically u meant to say like its quite safe for around 100-120HP? no need to change even the clutch/pressure plates or the tyranny?

probably depends a lot on how you drive.

Buy a good quality clutch set and don't drive like an idiot and you may be ok.

I blew three Festiva transmissions. The first and second had the differentials fail (spider gears failed), and the third's case cracked one day when I was at the drag strip and was trying to break it. After three launches on drag slicks it started to leak from a crack in the gear casing, so I knew it was toast. I was probably making about 140-150whp, or about 180hp at the crank (like Matt said). More importantly though, I was making 165 ft-lbs of torque across the powerband, which is what really killed it.

Mine started slipping on me after 1.5 years of racing abuse (Autocross & Drag racing) w/my B6 SOHC will be upgrading to a SPEC Stage 2... -Kyle

Don't be afraid to use the search button on the top of the page.

It came in many cars but the ones you want are the 323gt and the mercury capri xr2. These were cable operated clutches and swap in easier than the hydraulic clutch versions. You also will need custom trans and engine mounts that are not available, you need to make them. You'll need to find what cars have it in your country.

I checked Clutchnet.com and found some aftermarket festiva clutches.. I was wondering if some of you guys have clutchnet clutch installed? I am interested on the FIBER CARBON clutch disc.. I was also interested in the 4 puck metallic clutch but it might be less streetable. heres a pic of the fiber carbon clutch

any comment on this product? will this be enough to hold 140-150hp?
