Hello,
Proud owner of a 93' Ford Festiva L here and I have a quick question. So I'm doing an engine rebuild. Complete tear down and new bearings, pistons, etc. So I kind of made a noob mistake and didn't pay attention to how the pistons were oriented when I pressed the piston pin out of the piston/connecting rod. So I know that my pistons, new one, have an arrow and that obviously needs to point towards the front (towards the oil pump). But does the orientation of the connecting rod make a difference? I know that the cap has marks on the side to know that the cap and rod are matching. But I looked through the haines manual and saw nothing. So if anyone knows please inform the noob, if you don't mind. Also on one side of the con-rod/cap it does say E, maybe that means that side faces exhaust, just a guess. Thank you all.
