G15mr trans whining

So from 3rd - 5th my xr2 trans whines badly and gets louder with each gear and the pitch gets higher the faster I go I haven't had any luck finding a rebuild kit and taking it to a guy is out of my budget any ideas?

So far my only idea is I could crack it open and check bearings and bushings and just get ones with the same specs
