  • shaved flywheel

Has anyone done the shaved flywheel thing? Either machining your own, or picking up a ready made from F.M.S. Is there a noticeable difference?
Or is it more like say.....removing the air filter.

called fms the other day on the phone:

they said 4-5 hp raise and faster revs...exactly what a flywheel is supposed to do......I'm getting one for my birthday next month on the 12th. I'll let everyone know how the outcome is.

Yes, done it here in Australia.
Hp not noted as yet, but keep in mind probable loss in torque.

no torque loss from switching flywheels.

less rotational mass = means faster revs more hp

If you have the FMS flywheel on already whats the foot /lbs for mounting the flywheel to the crank??

                camshaft

Hey, Festivawes... how did that new cam work out after you replaced that blown lifter? Was thinkin about possibly getting one. Uh...that would be the cam...not the blown lifter.
