Bought this system off ebay and it just arived, looks great. I'll be mounting it either tonight or tomorrow to report on fitment.

I purchased this particular kit because it has the adapter with a flowing interior rather than the usual tube welded to a flat plate, should provide a smaller pressure drop from one side to the other and better flow charactoristics.

Filter seems to be of good quality, but i will be replacing it with a K&N Cone i'll be ordering to match the specific flow requirements for the Festiva engine.

i have the same thing on my 93. i only use the cheapo filter when im cleaning my k&n. with the added air frow, i found my engine runs smoother with premium fuel. mabye its just me though. im having a muffler shop bend me up an intake. that should help with flow. let me know if you see the same with different octanes.
