  • Performance coil on Festiva

Does anyone know if it will hurt my stock ignition if I use a high output MSD coil on an '89 carbed Festiva? Basic little 1.3 litre all original otherwise.

you'll see a mpg improvement and better accel if your old one isn't up to snuff anymore

What is the part number we need if we want to get a msd coil for a b6t? I think if the price is right I might upgrade.

I found mine on Ebay for 26.00. Hope it is worth it. I also found a capacitive discharge ignition system for 22.50. If anything makes a difference that should. I'll let everyone know after I get it installed.

                Accel super coil

I burned out two distributors because I was too lazy to put in the inline resistor that came with the Accel super coil. The ignition just quit in the middle of Airport road on the way to work. Good thing I could push the little thing off the road and into a parking lot. I installed the proper resistor and have never had a problem since.
