    Tranny upgrade

    Hi there, Some one told me that the standard manual festiva has a 5 speed tranny, but mine only has 4, also was told that it was a dealership option that needed a plug removed to use all 5 gears. Does anyone else know about this and know any way to do the conversion?

    No, there is no lock-out on the transmission that only allows you to use 4 out of 5. If you want the 5sp then you need the whole transmission. The conversion is just taking out the 4sp and putting a 5sp in it's place.
