86 Laser KC to 95 Festiva engine conversion

I have a laser with a B6 carbed engine which has been fully reconditioned recently, and has an auto gearbox. The gearbox is broken however, so I wanted to put my 1.3L long block into the laser, and wanted to know if I could run the 1.6L block in festiva with EFi and festiva 5 speed (I'll get 1.6L injectors/ecu/etc) and run the 1.3L as carb in the laser still, with an auto box.

From what I've gathered so far it will work.
