What engines will bolt in into a festiva like using the same motor mounts and such. Even if their are full front ends outta cars like tranny, axles, etc that would work......
I know very little about festiva i'm a escort guy
now if a escort GT motor would bolt in i'm be happy

yeah, the links don't always work right for some reason... just go to the N/A engine swaps section, its on the first page of topics, its called "no-weld engine mount" or something like that.

Its not a very hard swap if you stick with the festiva transmission (which I did). All you really do is bolt the engine up to the transmission and the custom passenger side engine mount, put in a couple of wires the festiva isn't wired for, plug in the ECU and you're ready to go. Realistically it takes a little bit more work than that, but thats basically all you do, I did the swap in two weekends, but it took me forever to get it running cause the injectors were clogged and instead of realizing that I tried to trace problems in the fuel system. There is also an article by mattswabb in the N/A swaps forum that will walk you through the wiring involved... and as for 1/4 times, you'll have to ask someone that has actually taken their's to a track, I have no clue what mine will do...

oh, and while we're at it, everyone post pics of your BPs  we've already got three to get you started

I have a b6t with a G25MR transmission in my car. The B6T is a turbo version of the B6 and it comes with a vj14 turbo and runs 7.8:1 compression stock. This engine is really hard to come by unless you can find a 90-94 Mercury Capri XR2's. The other donors are early 323 GT's (four door sedan) that also have the G25MR transmission or a 323 GTX which could get you banned on this site for parting out, lol. The 323 GTX and GT are very hard to find cars and the GTX requires that you use the Festiva transmission or get a transmission from another car because the GTX is AWD. Now getting to the trannies. The G25MR (cable version) can be found only in the 323 GT's and Capri XR2's as far as I know, I might be wrong. There is another version of the G25MR, the (hydraulic version). I will let somebody else chime in with the donors of this tranny sense I am not sure what they come in. I have noticed that the Festiva tranny is a mixed batch. Some people love it and some people hate it. I have heard many times where it has been taken down the track and abused with the best of them on a daily basis, where I have also heard that the upgraded power of either a B6T or a BP has destroyed it not even 15 feet out of there driveway. Again though I havent used one so it wouldn't be fair for me to suggest it or steer you clear of it. Well I hope I was able to answer everything you could possibly want to know about the b6t if you decide thats the way you want to go. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask and I will try my best to help out although I am fairly new myself.
