  • radiator upgrades for 1.6

hay guys, is there a genaric upgrade for the rad in the festiva, I'm putting in a 1.6 and I would like to improve on the rad, plus mine is crap and is oozing white power (probibly "stop leak" from previous attempts to repair a failing raditor), thanks.

Just use another 1.3 or you could use a radiator out of an automatic aspire, I believe it is twice as big, and double cored but not sure. I use the stock 1.3 with my Bp and it never goes over a quarter.

the stock one is fine for any b6. If you want t an upgrade then get one from an automatic festiva. There are dual core and a direct bolt in.

cool, I guess I'll jsut try to repair this one when the engine's out, the cores are intact, but I had removed the end resevoirs to clean out the core when it had clogged, and I was 5 hours from anywhere on the side of the road when I did it, so the re-crimping of the ends was pritty sketchy at best, and then I added some stop leak to help out the poor end cap installation, thats where the stop leak is blooming out, along the crimped edge. this time when I take it apart, I'll do it right
