  • XR2 capri B6T tranny?

What mph does 4th gear end? I just need a ballpark figure. Let me know what you know along with the size of tires that were used.

That can't be right. 3rd gear goes just to 100.

I dynoed the car when it first came out of the shop so I could be wrong..Then again when you shift from 3rd to 4th your rpms dont drop as much and I dont think 3rd will do 100mph.

Every car I have owned has had a turbo in it, until I bought this latest festiva.. I plan to fix that though.

Assuming 7000 RPM and 185/60-14 tires.

With a 3.736:1 final final drive (is this right?) x 4th gear of 1.028:1, I get 121.5 MPH

For the drag strip, I like the EGT ratios.

            4.105:1 and 1.028:1 gives 110.2 MPH @ 7000 RPM

Where did you get those gearings?

These are the gearing's that I have found so far.

I got those ratios from https://www.vibratesoftware.com/html...sions_Main.htm. I also read it wrong. According to them, the Capri has a 0.97:1 4th gear

this would give a top speed in 4th of 128.8 MPH

OK cause I found this, You might have read these for the xr2

It's for the ford capri in austrailia. These are the gearing for the N/A capri. With the F-trans. Sorry.
