g25MR HALF SHAFT QUESTION

Okay I went to bolt up my G25mr half shaft to the Hydro tranny today. The half shaft is from a xr2 capri.

The bolt holes for it dont line up, what do I do? Do I need a special bracket to hold the midshaft to the engine block?

Did you check Matts Cardomain for any answers? I seem to remember there was something to this with the BP.

They don't bolt up. You need to weld a piecs of steel tot he existing mount then drill new holes. Don't weld too much at one time, let it cool so you don't mess up the bearing.

yep, i also had to do that with my swap

i 2nd the do it slow and careful thing, dont wanna mess up a hard to find halfshaft!

am I missing something? I just put 2 mid shafts on.. I was told they were from an xr-2 and a gtx.. they both bolt up to the BP w/ 3 bolts.. again, did I miss something??

I'd say you have the wrong shaft. Everyone else had to modify theirs to install on the BP/BPT. Also I assume you meant gt not gtx.

yeah. GT.. 1 was the complete set from Zeeknoff the other was from Sooprmanx.. do you have to mod both xr2 and 323 GT mid shafts?

Yes, both need modified. Post a pic of yours and a measurement and maybe someone with a gt or xr2 shaft can measure theirs. I think I have a BP mid shaft I also could measure.

yeah to a BP.. can't get to the B6T right now..
