i know a honda has the same thread pitch, you could use one from a civic application. I use honda oil filters on my car, manufacturer HAMP. Better than K&n imo

personally i don't see the need to relocate the oil filter, i can get to mine without any problems, so if it ain't broke don't fix it

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Summit has a few different kits for the festy (or alteast the website says they do)

goto summitracing.com and search "festiva" a few different kits will pop up as well
          as other various interesting parts.

This is the one I thought about getting.

The summit kits are okay, buy different lines or they'll start to leak pretty soon.

AMSOIL has a very nice kit....if you have the money.

AMSOIL also has a bypass filter kit. A bypass filter will filter to below 1 micron. Wear causing particles are >5 microns. A good full flow oil filter is usually in the 20 to 25 micron range. Of course, you're looking at about $270.

Most of the kits are universal. They have different threaded fittings and various gasket sizes.

I'm going out on a limb and saying yes.

They use the same filter as a B3 so I'd say yes it would fit.
